Aberglasney Gardens and house. Saved from dereliction in the late 1990's Aberglasney is a collection of Jewel like garden "rooms" surrounding the old mansion where events and exhibitions are regularly held.

Dinefwr Castle
Standing guard over Llandeilo and the Towy valley. Old Dinefwr Castle is a pleasant walk from Tregib, past Llandyfeisant Church and then on into the parkland of the N.T. Newton House
Wild Blue Yonder and Baby Blue
Two genuine Mongolian Yurts. We can let the Blue Yonder Yurt on it's own or for 2 extra beds with it's "satellite" Baby Blue. Alongside is the "Yurtmobile" which contains a full kitchen, shower room and proper flushing loo!

A little flavour of the local area.
A twenty minute walk or 2 minutes by car will take you into Llandeilo, with its unique independent shops, lovely Towy valley views and overlooking all, the ruins of Dinefwr Castle.
On the edge of Llandeilo is the National Trust's Dinefwr Park and Newton House, and just 3 miles down the valley are Aberglasney Gardens.
Another four miles, passing Dryslwyn Castle and Paxton's Tower will bring you to The National Botanic Garden of Wales at Llanarthne.
Going up the valley through the old drovers town of Llandovery a lovely drive will take you to Llyn Brianne reservoir, a bit of Fjordland in Wales, coming back via the Upper Cothi valley with it's ancient oak woodlands, you can call at the Roman Goldmines at Dolaucothi near Pumsaint, also owned by the National Trust, then on via the ruins of Talley Abbey back to Llandeilo.
No stay at Tregib would be complete without a visit to the spectacular Carreg Cennen Castle just 3 miles away in the Brecon Beacons National Park, a Welsh castle which was never taken by the English.

And of course there are glorious walks!!

A bit of history.
Ty Cefn Tregib has been the home of the Evans family for more than 30 years, since John and Mary Evans bought a collection of farm buildings, formerly the home farm buildings of Tregib Mansion, and later used as a groundsmen's depot for Tregib School, from the local council, and started the epic task of bringing the old buildings and the land back to life.
Living in a caravan on site, the first task was to convert the lovely old threshing barn into a spacious family home, followed a couple of years later by turning the cart shed to a separate holiday cottage and later converting the old pigsties.
The children all left home and Mary decided that all those spare bedrooms needed using. Thus started the beginning of Ty Cefn Tregib B&B
Twenty five years on, all the children are back in the immediate vicinity with their own lives and partners, Ty Cefn Tregib has evolved into an established small thriving tourism business run jointly by daughter Cass, John & Mary, comprising B&B, our unique Glamping self catering and now the latest venture, Art at Tregib.
